From a random telephone call, a Sino-US collaboration was born. During a conversation with a Chinese entrepreneur, Michael Wang, it was learned that we shared a mutual love and interest in Asian Art and the belief that offering quality original Asian Art For Sale would be received positively. Early on we were faced with the decision of whether or not to compete with numerous other companies who provide modest quality Asian Art products at low prices. In discussions with Michael - he said that "made in China", "made in Taiwan", "made in Vietnam" had a negative connotation and he wanted to show the world that these countries are capable of so much more. Through his tireless efforts in Asia, he lives in Xi'an, China but travels widely, he found quality art work directly from the artists and small factories that exhibited the beauty, history and quality of Asian art he was proud of. That became the foundation of "Art of the East", quality Asian artwork at fair prices. By eliminating the middleman we have been able to offer a better price to the artisans while maintaining competitive pricing.
